Rest Home – Millis, MA

Millis is a suburban town in the Charles River Valley and was incorporated in 1885. Two cotton mills were established there in 1805 and one of those mills is reputed to have installed the first lace loom in America in 1818. In modern times all that remained of early industrial operations, were Herman Shoes and Cliquot Club ginger ale plant.

In 1984, two sisters who were social workers in the area, purchased the Rest Home. There was an ancient Willow In 1984, two sisters who were social workers in the area, purchased the Rest Home. There was an ancient Willow on the property, so it came to be called Willowbrook Manor. The sisters set out to make it their mission to provide a caring, safe yet independent environment for their clients where families would feel comfortable placing their loved ones.

This tradition continues till today, where clients are family. Independent living is balanced with clinical oversight to maintain good health of mind, body & soul.
